Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT diagnosis)
Optical coherence tomography is a modern non-invasive (without touching the eye or skin) method of examining the retina and optic disc.
Such an examination makes it possible to conduct an ultra-precise layer-by-layer examination of retinal tissues to determine the degree and form of their damage in a number of diseases. It is also used to diagnose and monitor glaucoma: determining the thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer and the size of the glaucomatous excavation of the optic nerve disc.
Cost: 550 – 900 UAH (depending on the complexity and whether the procedure is performed on two eyes or on one)
Duration: 30-90 min
